肥宝（洪金宝 饰）整日坑蒙拐骗，不顾父亲（洪金宝 饰）的责罚与朋友小海（孟海 饰）搭档出千骗人，代客泊车的二人见识了女骗子莉莉（利智 饰）的高超手段，欲从中分一杯羹却被莉莉的仇家盯上。小海被对方捉走当做人质，肥宝要搭救小海，怎奈事事不顺，遂迁怒于自己去世的“赌王”爷爷洪九（洪金宝 饰）。洪九不甘被孙子侮辱，加之为了向仇人及其后代寻仇，其怨灵重返人家，帮助肥宝在赌场上大杀四方，并成功救回了小海。得到好处的肥宝想摆脱洪九，但终因亲情而作罢。肥宝依计乔装成大陆领导接近仇家为祖父报仇，将父亲和莉莉也牵涉其中……。一天欣欣来到一家古董店，连呼数声有人么，不见有人回应，偌大的古董店空无一人。由于好奇心的驱使欣欣不管三七二十一自娱欣赏起来，不断的被眼前的物品所震慑所陶醉，就在此时突然有一人出现，吓了欣欣一跳。此人行径古里古怪，不过欣欣也没有放在心上，欣欣与其交谈数据之后又继续欣赏起古董来，然而奇怪的事情就在此时悄然发生了……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
