The film introduces bands such as Silly, Chicorée, San...。穷酸秀才小破孩进京赶考，路遇“彪悍女侠”、江湖骗子、冷酷杀手等人，引出一系列啼笑皆非、荒唐无语的故事，一路有惊无险，竟然考中了大状元。随后，小破孩凭借非凡的绝学，收编了一彪人马杀奔古城洛阳，破获一个“天大”的奇案。。
