The story follows a recent divorcee who spends her daily commute fantasizing about a seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes daily, but something shocking happens there one day.。林笑笑为了摆脱被家人卖去换彩礼的命运，孤身一人从林家村出来，找自己娃娃亲对象江谨结婚，没想到江谨早已忘记了当初的约定，林笑笑无奈只能另寻出路。偶然的一次机会，林笑笑与明曦航空机长沈熠结识，在沈熠父母的撮合下，两人闪婚.......。故事设定在中国香港，艾曼纽（诺米·梅兰特 Noémie Merlant 饰）去当地出差，因此展开了一趟与许多人相遇、寻找失落的欲望的旅程，她遇上一个叫Kei的男子，对方却一直躲避她。。
