TBS直接预定了一部科幻喜剧剧集《地球人小组 People of Earth》，跳过了试映集环节。该剧由前《每日秀》记者Wyatt Cenac制作并主演，同时参与制作的还有脱口秀主持人Conan O'Brien、著名笑星Jeff Ross、演员Larry Sulliva n、制作人Dan Halsted和导演Greg Daniels（《办公室》《公园与游憩》）。该剧由新人编剧David Jenkins制作并攥写。该剧主人公是一个不相信有外星人的记者Ozzie Graham，他负责调查一群“曾遇到过外星人”的人。然而在他调查这些人的古怪言论的背后，他发觉到这些假的“真相”的线索越来越指向同一件事——外星人要绑架地球。从此他便一直被“外太空是否有生命”这件事所困扰…… 只有看见UFO的，属于第一类接触；能收集到证据的，属于第二类接触；直接和外星人接触的，...。故事讲述的是下雨天的街道上，一把蓝色雨伞和一把红色雨伞之间的爱情故事。。Kate Mayer (Leslie Hope) seems to have it all: a nice suburban house, two loving children and a devoted husband.
