The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely. The tamped-down acting and the spare, tense visual rhetoric suggest a state of moral crisis as well as the response—as much in style as in substance—that it demands.。导演阐述电影<夺爱>是根据一个真实的故事改编而成,为了拍好的这部电影,在剧本创作阶段我就直接和故事原型唐秀华进行了深入的采访。 这个真实的故事在这里简述一下:医学院毕业的景嫒和唐玉鸿相爱几年,终于到了要谈婚论嫁的时候了,那天景嫒来到了唐家,进门时,公公唐秀华收养的藏獒“黑珍珠”一直虎视眈眈地盯着这个“陌生的来人”。眼里显出深深的敌意。主人一家人却对着一个“陌生人”如此地热情,平时倍受主人宠爱“黑珍珠”一下暴发了。它突然窜出来,冲着室内的景嫒扑了过去,粗大的铁链发出骇人的响声,“黑珍珠”冲着景嫒冲出如雷鸣般的怒吼,景嫒吓的一下扑到了男友的怀里瑟瑟发抖。从小就怕狗的景嫒看着目光里含着深深敌意的“黑珍珠”。人和獒久久地对视着。“黑珍珠”似乎明白了什么。景嫒从唐家出来,对这只凶猛藏獒的惧怕让她在出院时不由加快了脚步,她的鞋无意中踢到了“黑珍珠”的饭盆,在吃...。故事拍摄于伦敦骚乱之前的夏季。一切看似不太可能发生在绅士之邦的嘲讽、误解、欺骗、无奈、帮派文化、血腥暴力……在不同主人公不同视线的支离破碎间逐渐拼凑出了一幕悲剧...... 正如编剧所说:“我们的生活很多时候建立在完全错误的臆想之中。” 当这种臆想被冲动地付诸行动,便会留给人们最沉痛、最无奈、也是最无辜的代价……你所认为的真相,是否真的是真相呢??。
